Adelina Leo is a writer of historical fiction, bringing to life some of history’s lesser-known stories. With romantic twists and heart-warming journeys, her novels traverse themes of loss, family, and self-discovery.

She lives in the UK with her family after years of living and working abroad. Her love for travel and writing started whilst backpacking around South America in her twenties, when blogging was just taking off. “From the very first page, this book gripped me.”

“From the very first page, this book gripped me. I was pulled through waves of sadness, , shocking twists, and a final ending that left me smiling through tears. The author’s writing is fearless, raw, and utterly immersive — I felt as though I was standing inside the story itself, living each moment with the characters of Isabel and Claudio. Just when I thought I had it figured out, surprises knocked me off my feet. This is storytelling at its best: emotional, unpredictable, and unforgettable. I would recommend it to anyone who loves a book that captures the heart and refuses to let go.”

“Well developed and memorable…”

A young woman searches for her mother who disappeared from Buenos Aries in the seventies. Not knowing if her mother left her or was one of the many disappeared of that time of political turmoil. This is a slow read but the characters well developed and memorable. The legal side of searches is explored in through the main characters who are lawyers. Argentina and England come to life as this quest continues. A little love story and big secrets make this a satisfying read.

“Gorgeous atmospheric look into 1970s Argentina”

I love this kind of book, where the characters dig into the past to uncover family secrets and truths about themselves. This story is set in the present day (early 2000s) and switches back to the 1970s, when Argentina was ruled by a brutal dictatorship remembered for “disappearing” outspoken citizens. I won’t give anything away, but the author has some good surprises up her sleeve! Highly recommend.
