About the Author

Adelina Leo is a historical novelist whose work explores the intricate intersections of identity, family, and the enduring scars of the past. Her debut novel, River of Silence, was born from a deep love for her adopted homeland of Argentina and a desire to give voice to those navigating the complexities of grief and political unrest.

Influenced by the evocative storytelling of Oscar Hijuelos and the feminist lens of Margaret Atwood, Adelina crafts narratives that serve as bridges across time and memory. Her writing is deeply informed by her passion for Latin dance, specifically salsa and the Argentine tango, which she views as a vital medium for understanding human emotion and cultural history.

After years of living and working abroad, Adelina now resides in the UK with her family. When she isn’t writing, she nurtures her creativity through ceramics, sketching, and dance. She is currently at work on a multi-generational family saga set in post-war Southern Italy.
